2026-2027 School Year

Scheduling & How BILLING Works

  • Vicki will work with you and confirm your student’s schedule the months you are enrolled.

  • Clever Minds does not receive funding to operate and pay its teachers, which is why we have you pay upfront for tutoring and educational services.

  •  We will send you an invoice by the 20th of each month. 

  • Your payment is due the 1st of the month that we are billing for your educational services.

Cancellation Policy

  • We require a 24 hour advance notice if you are not going to be able to attend a session for any reason. 

  • Any cancellations made the day of scheduled tutoring without 24 hour advance notice, including not showing up, will be charged the full amount of the tutoring session.

Rescheduling & Account Credits

  • If a tutor session is canceled by you with a 24 hour notice provided or canceled by the teacher, the session will either be rescheduled or we’ll apply a credit to your account. 

  • Any credit(s) incurred will always be applied to your next applicable invoice. 

  • Should you decide not to continue with sessions after a payment is made, the credit(s) will remain in your account indefinitely for future services. 

  • Credits can be applied for any future tutoring down the road, as well as, can be applied toward any siblings that may enroll.

  • Account credit will expire 3 years from the date credit is issued.

  • There are no refunds.

Payment Options:

• VENMO - Send your payment to  @vicki-isacowitz

• ZELLE - In your banking account send your payment to vicki@cleverminds.org

• Credit card

  • We accept Visa,  Mastercard, Discover and Amex.

  • There is a 3.5% transaction fee for all credit cards

  • We will include a payment link with your invoice to make an online payment.

• Check

  • Make checks payable to Clever Minds. 

  • Please drop off your check at the center or have your student bring it with them.  

  • If you need to mail your check, our mailing address is PO Box 2581 Truckee, CA 96160.

  • Dropping off a check at the center is always best.

  • You will be responsible and billed for any bounced check fees that we incur.

• Cash

  • Cash payments can be paid at the center.

• Payment Plan

  • Please contact us if you need to set up a payment plan.

• Late Payment Policy

  • Payments are due on the 1st of the month.

  • You will be charged a $25 late fee if payment is not received by the 15th.

  • If your account becomes over 30 days past due, we will not be able to schedule your tutoring for the following month until payment is received.

Snow Days

When school is canceled due to a snow day, Clever Minds will try to be open for tutoring sessions. We will advise accordingly.  As an alternative, we can offer a Zoom session in lieu of in person sessions. Zoom sessions will be determined the day of and you will be contacted if this is an option.

Sick Policy

If your child is sick, please stay home.  We do require a 24 hour advance notice if you are unable to attend due to illness.  A Zoom session is  an option if your child is well enough to do so and we can arrange this with your tutor.

Health Concerns & Allergies

Please inform us if your child has any special health concerns or allergies we should be aware of while they’re attending tutoring.

Holidays

We follow Truckee Tahoe Unified School District (TTUSD) holiday schedule for the 2026-2027school year.

▹ Veterans Day: November 11, 2026

▹ Thanksgiving Break: November 23-26, 2026 *We are closed the whole week*

▹ Winter Break: December 21, 2026 - January 3, 2027 *We are closed for 2 weeks*

▹ Martin Luther King Day: January 18, 2027

▹ President's Day Long Weekend: February 15 - 16, 2027

▹ Spring Break: April 12-16, 2027

▹ Memorial Day: May 31, 2027

▹ Juneteenth: June 19, 2027
